RemoteHelp via VNC If you often get help via VNC, RemoteHelp can set up a shortcut to launch VNC, and connect to the VNC listener program on a particular remote machine. There is a special version of RemoteHelp that can be used to connect to me in this manner, called remotehelp_glenn.exe. Please do not use this program unless you contact me first via telephone, email, or Instant Messenger, so that I am expecting the connection, and can turn on my VNC listener. If you give me control of your machine, I happen to have my VNC listener running, and I wasn't expecting it and do not recognize your machine name, I just could delete all your files or something.... you have been warned. |
