Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

1 C. butter
1 C. brown sugar
1/2 t vanilla
2 eggs
2 C flour
6oz pkg chocolate chips
1 C chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Add vanilla and mix well. Add flour all at once. Blend until sticky dough is formed. Add nuts and chips. Spread in greased 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350° until lightly browned.

N.B. I first obtained this recipe from Sue Ellen Claggett, in 1978. It is still just as good as it was then!
